Experience
Geoff has had over 20 years experience as a tax partner with a Big 4 accounting firm, before joining Grant Thornton in 2007.  He has considerable training and experience in complex areas of tax law, including:
Corporate tax; tax effective remuneration and recruitment strategies; employment taxes; tax planning and structuring; and tax aspects of inward and outward investment by Australian businesses.
Geoff has specific tax knowledge and skills in many key industries; he will help you identify issues and opportunities and provide advice which is practical and focused on solving your needs and problems.
The approach Geoff takes to client relationships is to regard exceptional client service, proactivity, and accurate technical advice, as paramount – neither alone suffices any more.

Sector experience
As a Director in Grant Thornton's Taxation Services division, Geoff Lloyd is passionate about knowing the key drivers of his clients business, understanding their tax and business needs, and delivering pro-active advice to help solve their business problems.

Geoff adds value to his clients by providing tax solutions in the areas of income tax & capital gains tax; GST and other indirect taxes; fringe benefits tax; and employment taxes.

Geoff believes taxes are a business cost which like other costs, can be properly minimised and controlled with careful planning and advice.
