Experience
Dan commenced his career in Brisbane with a Big 4 firm. After becoming a CA, Dan worked in a London Chartered Accounting firm and then commercially in a London merchant bank. Dan returned to an audit career in Australia in the 1990’s and has been a partner of the Brisbane practice since 2000.

Sector experience
If an audit is being conducted on your organisation, it’s good to know that the person in charge has the breadth of experience to be able to identify all the relevant issues. Dan’s experience both in Australia and overseas is invaluable in a complicated audit situation.

Dan has managed the audit of many clients whose turnover has ranged up to 1.3 billion dollars. His experience includes audit and assurance work in industries such as:

• resources and energy
• construction
• manufacturing 
• not-for-profit 
• property development
• retail

Professional affiliations and memberships
For many years Dan sat on the Membership Services Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Brisbane and acted as Treasurer for local schools. 

Dan is a fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA), and a Member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAA) and Institute of Company Directors (AICD).

Presentations and publications
Dan has previously acted as a “workshop leader” for the Institute of Chartered Accountants CA Program.

Dan has presented many technical papers to both the ICAA and the Australian Society of Accountants on changes to Corporations Law, accounting standards (particularly IFRS) and audit standard updates.
