Experience

Paul commenced his career in 1986 and spent the early part of his career in Brisbane firms such as Pannell Kerr Forster and BDO Nelson Parkhill (now BDO Kendalls). In 1995 Paul commenced work with Grant Thornton and has since provided advice to clients in the areas of taxation, superannuation and general business services.

Paul is influential within Grant Thornton internationally. In serving on a number of committees supporting the Grant Thornton tax community, Paul plays a key role in developing appropriate solutions for businesses and expatriates in their tax planning and wealth structuring. Further, as a member of Grant Thornton’s Network Development Group, Paul supports Asia-Pacific member firms align their strategies to Grant Thornton’s global vision.

Sector experience

Paul has developed expertise in a number of areas including offshore structures, international tax planning and compliance, pension planning, superannuation planning and compliance, wealth enhancement and asset protection, succession planning, remuneration packaging and GST planning.

He has worked with clients from many different industries such as property development and construction, telecommunications and information technology, legal and medical professionals and motor vehicle dealerships.

Paul has presented at many professional and business forums, both in Australia and internationally. He is also a contributing author to Thomson’s Australian Financial Planning Handbook.
