With our increasingly complex taxation system, the challenge for tax practitioners is to understand all of the reforms and sensibly relate them to clients. Peter Godber has over 25 years experience in providing professional taxation advice and dealing with changes to our tax laws. 

Peter provides advice in many areas of taxation. He can provide expert guidance on business taxation, business and investment structuring, international tax planning, remuneration taxes and executive issues, prudential tax audits and tax risk management.

Peter has worked for a number of large accounting and legal firms, always in tax advisory specialist areas.

Sector experience
Peter has worked with clients from industries such as property development and construction, transport and dredging, coal and energy, legal and other professions, information technology and the public sector.

• Chartered Accountant
• Masters of Law (LLM)
• Bachelor of Commerce/LLB

Professional affiliations and memberships

• Peter is an ex-member of Grant Thornton’s Global Tax Advisory Committee that sets direction for its tax practices
• He is a State Councillor of the Queensland branch of the Taxation Institute of Australia 
• Peter is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, the Institute of Company Directors, and the Law Society of New South Wales
