Experience

David has extensive experience in the delivery of services across the corporate and private sectors. David’s primary role now is as an engagement partner on many of Grant Thornton’s significant external audit assignments following a long and successful period as the head of the Melbourne Audit & Assurance group.

David also has a broad range of assurance and advisory skills and experience, and providing constructive assistance to clients to help them meet the demands of today’s vibrant and evolving business environment. In that regard David is qualified in a number of aligned areas to his core external audit role notably he is a Certified Internal Auditor, is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

David’s work in internal audit has included the establishment of the Melbourne Internal Audit service and included work in Enterprise Risk Management and assisting US based clients meet their Sarbanes Oxley compliance requirements.

David’s work with significant private business groups has been focused on assisting and advising them with the demands of dynamic growth through expansion and acquisition and the introduction of appropriate corporate structure and governance practices.

David’s qualifications and knowledge of Capital Markets is very valuable on his assurance assignments for emerging ASX listed entities and in the areas of financial due diligence assignments and private equity investment.
