Kevin is a Partner in Grant Thornton’s tax team. A qualified accountant and lawyer, he has extensive tax consulting experience across a diverse range of industries and issues. He has a wealth of experience in all aspects of tax (both direct and indirect) and State duties.

Kevin develops strong client relationships and works with clients to manage risk and improve outcomes. With a cooperative attitude, Kevin often teams with other advisors to deliver advice which is subject to client legal privilege or to provide a second (legal) opinion.

Experience
Kevin’s core expertise is in providing taxation advice which has the benefit of client legal privilege with expertise in:

• dispute strategy, negotiation and resolution with Revenue authorities
• representation and mediation in Tribunals and Courts
• drafting and amendment of documents such as Trust deeds, Tax Sharing and Funding Agreements
• mergers and acquisitions including consideration of Part IVA (anti-avoidance)
• tax and Duty liability
• post-transaction tax compliance issues

• Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (CA)
• Bachelor of Economics (Accounting)
• Bachelor of Laws
• Master of Laws
• Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia
• Legal Practitioner in the Supreme Courts of NSW and WA, and the High Court of Australia
• Registered Tax Agent
