Richard has over 45 years experience working with domestic and international income tax, acquisition and take-overs, valuations, business appraisals and general commercial advisory services. From March 2004 until joining Grant Thornton in 2008 Richard was a Director with Dickson Carrello Pty Ltd prior to which he was a director of PKF.

Sector experience

• Commercial and tax effective structuring
• General funding requirements and negotiation with bankers and lending institutions.
• Valuation of existing clients' businesses on behalf of clients with view to sale or refinancing.
• Valuation and appraisal of business on behalf of clients with view to purchase.
• Management review on behalf of BHP Minerals in respect of cattle properties owned and operated by them.
• International - negotiation of international contracts, including currency arrangements and arranging banking facilities for companies in foreign jurisdiction.
