William Masson

William Masson has a strong track record in professional services firms, both as a practicing audit partner and in senior executive roles. Having qualified as a chartered accountant, he first worked for Coopers & Lybrand in his native South Africa and in New York, before taking up a number of executive appointments in Sydney.

Former positions have included General Manager roles for lawyers Corrs Chambers Westgarth and IT services company Comtech Communications (now called Dimension Data Australia. More recently, William served as CEO of IT services start-up Sententia and CFO of an ASX-listed IT systems and services firm. Drawing on this experience, his primary focus at Grant Thornton Australia will be on introducing systems and tools to enhance the firm’s offering to current and prospective clients, as well as offering senior strategic input into the overall direction of the firm.
