Experience
Don has over 30 year’s Corporate Tax experience including 16 years as a Partner in mid tier and Big 4 accounting firms. For more than five years Don was on the International Tax Committee of a world-wide accounting firm.

Don has extensive experience in tax advocacy including representing taxpayers in dispute resolution and negotiation with the Australian Tax Office. He specialises in the following areas:

• domestic and international tax planning
• tax advocacy
• due diligence/mergers and acquisitions
• Capital Gains Tax
• clubs and not-for-profit associations
• private companies

Sector experience
Over his career Don has built and led Tax teams and has wide experience in advising on inbound and outbound investments to a range of multi-national clients in industries such as property and construction, manufacturing, retail and communication.

He has also represented industry associations in policy discussions with government agencies. Don is currently a member of the ATO/Clubs Consultative Forum.

Professional qualifications and memberships

• Masters of Taxation (Sydney University)
• Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia
• Bachelor of Business Studies (majoring in accounting)
