Experience
With over twenty years experience in public practice, Grant Layland has obtained broad exposure to a diverse range of industries including retail, property, distribution, manufacturing Financial services and mining businesses.  Grant can provide a well-rounded perspective in looking at all your business needs.

His clients have ranged from top five Australian companies to small not for profit environmental groups.  Through this wide range of experience Grant has built a breadth of knowledge from which to draw business advice.  During his time in public practice Grant has had experience in a number of special assignments including due diligence reviews for acquisitions, disposals and financing.

Grant is currently responsible for the audit of numerous listed companies in the financial services, as well as a diverse range of private company clients.  Other services provided to the sector include anti money laundering reviews, license audits, IT and internal controls reviews and unit pricing reviews.

As a Director in our Audit and Assurance Services in the Sydney office of Grant Thornton, Grant is responsible for audits and other assurance services required by his clients, and providing them with timely pro-active advice.  This includes advising clients on IFRS, including transaction restructuring and disclosures.  Other Sydney office responsibilities include in-house technical training.

Grant has also participated in the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia postgraduate CA Program as a group leader/session facilitator for all modules and the ICAA’s professional development program presented by Grant Thornton.
