After completing a Bachelor of Economics degree at Monash University, Mark commenced his professional career in 1979 with Fordham Williams & Co which became the Melbourne office of Grant Thornton.
After 10 years as a generalist tax, accounting consultant and several years specialising in the accounting and business aspects of motor dealers, he left to join the “client side”.
Under Mark’s leadership as Managing Director, FHA Design became Australia’s foremost graphic design and branding consultancy with offices in Melbourne and Sydney and many of Australia’s major corporate identity changes FHA credits – Telstra, Orica, Sydney Olympic and Paralympic Games 2000, Crown, BHP Billiton and most recently the Commonwealth Games 2006 all have brands designed and implemented by FHA.
As one of three Directors in a small business, Mark well understands the issues business owners face having had responsibility for overall strategy, financial management, human resources and doing his share of new business development for a growing business.
FHA Design was sold to American Communications Transnational Interpublic Ltd in March 2001, becoming the Australian member of global branding firm Futurebrand.
Mark joined Grant Thornton, Sydney in March 2003 at the expiration of his Futurebrand contract and in now applying his knowledge of all aspects of the services business to both the day-to-day running and strategic development of Grant Thornton, Sydney.
