“It is my firm belief that the ability to devise innovative and commercial solutions are the attributes of a modern insolvency practitioner.

As National Head of Recovery & Reorganisation (R&R), it is my primary responsibility role to coordinate the provision of R&R services both across Australia and globally - through the Grant Thornton International network.

In this role I am often asked to represent the firm and speak on insolvency issues including as:

• A speaker on corporate restructuring at the Insol 2005 quadrennial conference in Sydney.
• A speaker on Australian Law reform at the 2007 Asian - Pacific Corporate Insolvency Law Symposium in the USA.
• A member of the Technical Committee of the Insol 2008 APAC regional conference in Shang Hai.

Domestically, I specialise in providing investigative and restructuring support to lenders and consulting to distressed businesses - ranging from medium sized private to small public companies.

With a young family, while my spare time is limited, as a keen yachtsman I find time to sit on the Board of the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia and act as the Club's Treasurer."
