Working in the Melbourne office

Located at 215 Spring Street, our office is in close proximity to Parliament station and gardens in the Paris end of town.

Graduate Program

As a graduate in the Grant Thornton Melbourne office, you will have the opportunity work across our various service lines including Audit & Assurance, Business Transformation (including Business Risk Services, Consulting and Workforce Advisory), Corporate Finance, Privately Held Business, Recovery & Reorganisation and Tax Services.

Vacation Program

Get involved in real work!  You will gain experience working with real clients in a professional environment.  You will have the opportunity to put to good use all that theory from university and also learn on the fly with Grant Thornton team members.  Our international network will introduce you to concepts and techniques which can be used both in Australia and overseas and we provide the opportunity for you to understand how a professional services firm operates.

You will be allocated a buddy upon commencement of your vacation placement, and our comprehensive software training and introductory sessions serve as a springboard for you to get the most out of your summer vacation placement. 

Vacation positions span our various service lines including Audit & Assurance, Business Transformation (including Business Risk Services, Consulting and Workforce Advisory), Corporate Finance, Privately Held Business, Recovery & Reorganisation and Tax Services.

Vacation placements will be made in either November/December 2012 or January/February 2013. All placements will be for a period of approximately 4-6 weeks.

Can you apply for our Graduate and Vacation Programs?

To be eligible for the Graduate Program you must be a permanent resident of Australia or an Australian citizen and in your final year of study at university.

To be eligible for the Vacation Program, you must be a permanent resident in Australia and in your penultimate year of study at university.

In all service lines besides Business Risk Services, Workforce Advisory and Consulting you must be CA eligible. 

• Business Risk Services placements are open to applicants from Commerce/Business or Information Technology degrees.
• Consulting is open to applicants from all disciplines.
• Workforce Advisory applicants must have a major in Human Resource Management.

Closing dates

Applications for the 2013 Graduate Program and 2012/2013 Vacation Programs will open in February 2012. Applications will be open until all positions are filled, however no applications will be accepted after 5pm Wednesday 28 March 2012.
