John and Jeff Knispel - Nippy’s Fruit Juices

Nippy’s Fruit Juices are an iconic South Australian success story, which began with the purchase of a fruit property back in 1933.

The Knispel family soon added a fruit packing facility to the operation and in 1966, began producing fresh juice products.

These days, Nippy's is jointly owned and managed by brothers John and Jeff Knispel. The brothers often have different perspectives on the business and this is where their relationship with Steve Westaway, of Grant Thornton Adelaide, can be most beneficial.

"Steve's long-term involvement and working knowledge of the business make him invaluable," John says. "He often helps my brother and me resolve issues simply because we do value his opinion."

The company now boasts an Australia-wide distribution network, an Asian export market and a production capacity of 25,000 tonnes of citrus fruit each year.
