(Please note: Operators with more than one village should complete a survey for each village.)
The ageing of Australia’s population is both an exciting and daunting prospect. Never before have the retirement living and aged care sectors received so much attention.
The National Health & Hospital Reform Commission report recognised the impact of changing expectations of consumers in relation to service flexibility and choice. Under the direction of the Gillard Government, the Productivity Commission is examining these issues in more detail with specific reference to retirement living services.
The information available on retirement living services in Australia is relatively limited. Our consultations with operators throughout Australia indicate that resident priorities and development trends are often not clearly understood. This can make it more challenging for operators to maximise their returns through strategic infrastructure investment.
The Grant Thornton/RVA Retirement Living Survey will provide invaluable information on the profile of retirement villages across Australia, the services offered and the changing landscape over the past 5 decades.
Participants in the survey will receive reports providing national and state based data on village configuration, contract and fee arrangements, resident service priorities and critical industry issues.
We strongly encourage your participation in the survey. Contributors will not be charged for the survey reports and all information will be retained in strict confidence in accordance with Grant Thornton’s privacy policy.
The Grant Thornton/RVA Retirement Living Survey is now available for completion on line (click here) in MS Excel format (click here) or as a PDF (click here).
