On Sunday 2 May 2010, the Federal Government released 'Australia's Future Tax System Review' (formerly known as the Henry Tax Review). This review has taken a 'root and branch' approach to looking at the Australian Federal and State tax system and is expected to recommend widespread tax reforms.

Australia's Future Tax System Review Panel, led by Treasury Secretary Dr Ken Henry, has provided many opportunities for individuals, businesses and organisations to submit their views on what is needed in Australia's future tax system to ensure Australia is best placed to deal with the demographic, social, economic and environmental challenges that lie ahead.
