• Independent Allocation Panel Process

The Independent Allocation Panel is a non-statutory advisory body that will provide advice to the NSW Government on species shares for a number of species or species groups and effort shares in four NSW fisheries, under the Business Adjustment Program.

The Panel is committed to implementing a fair and transparent process for determining the allocation criteria and will consult with affected stakeholders to allow adequate input.

The Panel first met on the 18th of October 2017. Throughout December 2017 and January/February 2018, the Panel will be travelling to various NSW coastal locations to provide shareholders the opportunity to meet with the Panel. Written submissions will also be accepted during this time.

A draft report and recommendations are proposed to be exhibited for feedback from April 2018.
