Grant Thornton is pleased to congratulate Australian Chiropractic College (ACC) on achieving registration as a higher education provider to deliver a Bachelor of Chiropractic, becoming the only non-university chiropractic college registered for higher education delivery in Australia.

Grant Thornton assisted ACC in providing critical analysis of its financial forecasts, strategic and business plans, then worked with ACC management to update its financial forecast model to reflect the strategic and operational plans for the college. Combining our deep industry knowledge and understanding of the regulatory requirements with our financial modelling expertise, our work with ACC was vital to ensure that it was able to demonstrate financial viability and sustainability as required by the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards), including quantifying and providing options for how start-up and working capital requirements of the college could be met.

With only 3 applicants successful in achieving registration as an independent higher education provider with Tertiary Education Quality and Standard Agency (TEQSA) during 2018, ACC joins the few able to demonstrate compliance to the high quality standards required to enter the sector.

As a non-university higher education provider, ACC reflects the growing diversity and flexibility in our higher education system, and we look forward to following ACC’s success as it commences operations and course delivery over the coming years.
