Alison Sheridan

Partner – Audit & Assurance

Alison has over some 20 years' audit experience both in London and in Sydney. Alison relocated to Sydney in 2003 and has spent the last 19 years working with clients in the financial services sector and the not-for-profit sector. She acts as the lead audit partner on a number of engagements within the Private Health Insurance and broader Financial Services Industry. She has worked on financial statement audits, regulatory and compliance audits and has experience working with the regulators in this space included ASIC and APRA).

Alison meets the APRA Fit and Proper auditor requirements for Health insurance.

Alison is the head of our Private Health Insurance group and is a senior member of our national financial services team and health and aged care team. With experience gained from the industry groups and that of her clients, she is in a perfect position to provide insights, as well as a wide range of perspectives, to her clients.

Alison’s financial services sector experience includes a diverse portfolio of financial services clients which includes Private Health Insurance Funds, Authorised Deposit Taking Institutions including Credit Unions, Proprietary Trading Groups, Funds Management incorporating Listed Investment Companies, Registered Managed Investment Schemes and Unit Trusts.

Alison is also the chairperson for the Sydney Social Impact Committee and a Board member of the GT Foundation and as firsthand experience of the regulatory requirements of the ACNC.

  • Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales
  • Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand
  • Registered Company Auditor
  • Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Accounting
