Webinar: Anticipated introduction of the NSW property tax
Thursday, 24 June 2021
12:00pm - 1:00pm AEST | 10:00am AWST
Since the Thodey Report was issued nearly a year ago, we have been tracking the development of the proposed new property tax – essentially abolishing stamp duty and land tax over a long transition period and replacing it with an annual tax for all NSW property holders.
With the NSW Productivity Commission White Paper 2021: rebooting the economy, being issued on 31 May, it seems likely the anticipated property tax will be formally announced around the time of the NSW Budget, being 22 June 2021.
There will be winners and losers if the change goes ahead, as well as implications for how property is sold during a transition period.
Join our webinar to be the first to hear our thoughts and analysis as details are announced by the NSW Government, as well as what a new annual land tax in NSW could mean for you.
