Kane has been in the data and analytics for over 10 years and has a keen interest in automation of business analytics processes. His experience helps our clients move up the analytics maturity curve by automating the mundane and allowing focus on value generation.

Kane gained thorough experience designing and implementing data solutions through his time in analytics consulting and leading implementations at an analytics software vendor. He worked across many industry verticals and often followed the trends of those industry verticals as data became more important and the requests of that data became more prominent.

As a founding member of the APAC team at a multinational analytics software vendor and growing that business to over 60 people in Australia and New Zealand, Kane’s experience included data implementations as well as methods to achieve successful growth through data and analytics. This experience is invaluable when looking at a client’s broader business needs.

At Grant Thornton, Kane focuses on around providing data and analytics advice and solutions to our clients, both directly and indirectly, by working with Tax teams to provide solutions for the present and the future. 

Experience

• Design, build and implementation of a front-end solution in 330 stores across Australia to allow daily sales targeting that realised a $5.5m benefit in the first year
• Project management of a 150-person, 5-month, telco analytics project, allowing analysts to access and create insights off broader data than had previously been accessible
• Project management of a 100-person, 6-month, financial reporting overhaul at a major bank
• Several Payroll compliance projects ranging from 100 employees to several thousand
