Suzanne has over 10 years’ Australian corporate and international tax experience and provides quality advice with a focus on client engagement and communication.
 
Suzanne manages a broad client portfolio of large domestic and multinational companies, with a focus on the Retail & Consumer products and Technology industries. She provides tax advisory services in connection with multinational structures, tax governance policies and practices and supports global corporate groups with managing their key Australian tax compliance requirements.

Her focus on understanding her clients’ underlying concerns and objectives means she’s able to provide practical tax solutions that are commercial and pragmatic. She handles her clients’ tax matters efficiently and provides regular updates on legislative changes to ensure businesses are well-equipped to respond while balancing their own objectives.

Her tax governance experience has assisted clients in addressing their governance procedures and helped prepare them for scrutiny from the tax authorities.

Experience

• Advising and managing Australian corporate tax compliance obligations, including tax-effect accounting services for domestic and multinational groups
• Assisting clients in preparing for and being party to ATO audits and Combined Assurance Reviews, through undertaking prudential reviews, early engagement discussions with the ATO and applying for private binding rulings
• Advising on complex Australian and international tax issues such as availability of tax losses, withholding tax obligations, thin capitalisation, tax consolidation principles, foreign hybrid mismatch provisions, controlled foreign company rules and income attribution
• Providing tax governance support both pre- and post- ATO engagement, to bring clients’ tax risk management frameworks in line with best practice
