Congratulations to Aurora Construction Materials

Congratulations to Aurora Construction Materials, successful applicant of the Victorian Government’s Manufacturing Growth Program (MGP).

The Manufacturing Growth Program, part of the Victorian Manufacturing and Industry Sovereignty Fund, supported small and medium sized manufacturers to introduce new technologies, expand operations, improve productivity, and enhance Victoria’s sovereign manufacturing capability.

Aurora Construction Materials (ACM) – a leading provider of sustainable aggregate, crushed rock, and concrete products – services the civil construction, residential and commercial building industries across Victoria. The successful project establishes a sustainable, new generation concrete plant, strategically co-located at ACM Beveridge’s existing quarry site in regional Victoria. The concrete plant will enable ACM to extend its circular economy value chain, increasing lower-carbon concrete availability, reducing transport emissions, and creating local jobs and economic opportunity.

Grant Thornton Australia is proud to have supported ACM in this grant application, particularly, as the grants landscape in Victoria becomes more competitive in light of the tighten budgetary environment. Michael Oppedisano, General Manager - Operations said, “Developing the application with the Grant Thornton Government Grants team was the right way to go. They had a streamlined process, and strong experience advising on application development. They identified and communicated the pitch required to demonstrate the value of our project to Government.”

“We are thrilled the Victorian Government backed this project! It focuses on increased environmental sustainability by introducing cutting edge manufacturing technology that enables waste material upcycling. Aside from the circular economy it creates, this investment supports regional economic development and job creation while increasing Victorian capability in sustainable construction materials like the ACM ULTRA range of lower-carbon concrete,” said Simone Barker, Innovation Incentives Director.
