Jarrod has been with Grant Thornton’s Risk Consulting team for 16 years, focusing on risk management and internal audit working across a range of sectors including Local Government & State Government, manufacturing, property, and for purpose organisations. He has demonstrated an ability to identify operational improvements in his client’s business to promote growth and strengthen control environments. Jarrod is also dedicated to fostering a culture of collaboration and empowerment amongst the team to develop and grow Grant Thornton’s Risk Consulting offering nationally.

It’s a privilege to take on the leadership of the Risk Consulting team at this exciting time and guide them into the future,” said Jarrod Lean.
Jarrod will be taking over from Partner George Sutton, who led the Risk Consulting team over the last five years. The team experienced significant growth under George’s leadership, resulting in being the largest growing service line for Grant Thornton in FY23. George will now focus on further strengthening the firm’s Internal Audit capability nationally and building its financial services offering.

Grant Thornton is pleased to announce the appointment of Jarrod Lean, Partner – Consulting as the new National Head of Risk Consulting effective from Friday 1 September 2023.
