Update on Porter Davis Homes Group Liquidation

Creditors were advised earlier this week the Liquidators are preparing an ‘Initial Circular to Creditors’ which will be available to all creditors from close of business on Tuesday, 18 April 2023. This Circular is an initial update for creditors only as required under the Corporations Act, and will provide creditors with information in relation to:

  • Details of the Appointment;
  • The Process of the Liquidation;
  • A Declaration of Independence, Relevant Relationships and Indemnities (DIRRI);
  • Creditor Listing; and
  • An estimate of the Liquidators’ remuneration.

Grant Thornton Spokesperson said, “Creditors should note the Initial Circular will not include any findings or conclusions in relation to the Liquidator’s detailed investigations into the circumstances leading up to the appointment of Liquidators, potential claims, or other investigations. These matters will be addressed in more detail in the ‘Statutory Report to Creditors’ which is required to be prepared within three months of the appointment of Liquidators, in this case no later than 30 June 2023. We confirm that all creditors will have access to this Statutory Report once it is finalised and made available by no later than 30 June 2023.”

Sample customer communications distributed to customers on Friday 14 April 2023

The Liquidators hope that this update provides clarity for Porter Davis customers regarding the status of their home build and options for next steps. Creditors and customers can visit this link for more information.
