Specialising in internal audit, Alex has been leading co-sourced and outsourced engagements for high-profile NSW Government and corporate entities with a focus on Transport & Infrastructure, Energy & Natural Resources and National Security & Justice sub-sectors. He has over 20 years’ experience providing internal audit, governance, enterprise risk management (“ERM”) and compliance services to a wide range of organisations across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.

A strategic leader, Alex has been delivering complex internal audit engagements, helping his clients strengthen their governance and control environments. His key strength is in effectively engaging with senior executives, Boards, and Audit & Risk Committees to deliver insightful, high-quality audit reports with practical, value-adding recommendations tailored to each organisation's specific needs.

Experience

Over the past 8 years, Alex has led outsourced and co-sourced internal audit engagements for public and private sector clients including Sydney Trains, Sydney Metro, NSW Port Authority, NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, EnergyCo, NSW Police, NSW Ombudsman, ICAC and NSW Ports.
Alex has led numerous risk assessment, risk framework, risk appetite and risk management implementation engagements for clients across Australia, UK and EMEA region.
Alex has also been recently supporting various clients with establishing effective internal controls frameworks. His most recent projects included an ERP transformation at a leisure and entertainment company, controls uplift project at a major retail group and a control framework engagement at a large property company.
