Partner – Risk Consulting
Prakash has over 20 years experience and is a previous Big 4 Partner who supports clients with governance, risk, internal audit and process redesign services. He most recently was KPMG’s Audit, Assurance and Risk Consulting Lead Partner to NSW Government and was KPMG’s National Audit, Assurance and Risk Consulting Lead Partner for Education.
Prakash has worked extensively with state and federal government, not for profit organisations, and higher education clients. He works closely with the C-suite and Audit Committees to both provide assurance on key programs, processes and practices as well as giving advice on how to improve overall governance, risk and compliance.
He understands the public and higher education sectors and what is required to ensure change and improvements are practical and sustainable.
Prakash is a strong advocate and passionate about Inclusion, Diversity and Equity and has had previous Executive roles to drive organsiational change and to create a more inclusive work environment.
Experience
- Prakash has extensive experience with NSW Government having worked previously with NSW Treasury, NSW Department of Education, NSW Department of Planning and Industry, NSW Department of Community Services, Insurance and Care NSW (icare), NSW Reconstruction Authority, NSW Police, NSW Department of Customer Services, NSW State Insurance Regulatory Authority, ICAC and the NSW Ombudsman.
- Prakash has wide experience with higher education clients having worked with UNSW, University of Sydney, UTS, Western Sydney University, University of Wollongong, Charles Sturt University, University of New England and Melbourne University.
- Prakash has supported various not for profit organsiations including those focused on delivery of human and educational services to the community.
