Grant Thornton welcomes new Partner, Paul Fontanot

Grant Thornton is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Fontanot as a Partner in its Forensic Consulting team, effective Monday 20 October 2025.

Paul joins the firm with over 28 years of experience in professional services across accounting, consulting and law. He was the former lead of EY’s forensic practice and built a significant forensics team at Clayton Utz, leading diverse teams of accountants, data scientists, mathematicians, IT developers, engineers, and lawyers.

Paul has extensive experience across government, finance, energy, resources, construction, and technology sectors, handling major investigations, regulatory inquiries, cyber incidents, litigation support, and risk transformation projects.

As a keen participant in senior leadership coaching programs, and developer of multidisciplinary graduate programs, Paul has a particular interest in leadership and capability development, having also studied Executive Education at Harvard Law School.

Paul is also an active community member, taking on a number of board and community roles including his past role as the Chair of Abbotsleigh School Council, where he led governance and strategy initiatives.
