James works alongside our audit teams through real‑time reviews and practical coaching to embed disciplined execution and clear documentation, so every file achieves consistently high quality.
James focuses on the ‘how’ of audit quality, including practical guidance, timely feedback and documentation that makes conclusions straightforward. Drawing on nearly a decade auditing ASX‑listed organisations across biotech, engineering and construction, software, aged care, and mining and exploration, he coaches teams to streamline procedures and sharpen judgements. His clients see the benefit in an efficient audit, fewer last‑minute issues, and financial statements that build stakeholder confidence.
Beyond individual engagements, he contributes to a culture of audit quality across the firm by sharing learnings from reviews, collaborating on practice improvements, and engaging with internal and external quality forums and discussions.
Experience
- Financial statement audits for a myriad of ASX listed, private entities, and SEC registrants.
- Quality management under ASQM 1 and international equivalents.
- Almost a decade of experience auditing a variety of clients in engineering and construction, biotechnology, software development, aged care, and mining and exploration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) – Curtin University
- Member of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CAANZ)
