His expertise spans business development, acquisitions, investments, JVs and lending across the transaction life cycle from strategy development, opportunity identification, relationship cultivation, negotiation, valuation, approvals, due diligence, documentation, and execution.
With years of experience successfully leading cross-functional, national and international teams he has built a substantial network across the mining industry including mining companies, service providers, investors and financiers.
Experience
- Developed the strategy to revitalise and grow the Thiess underground metals contract mining business
- Co-Led Thiess’s acquisition of Pybar, an underground metals mining contractor
- Led Thiess’s investment in Cortex, Thiess’s first investment in a software company
- Developed and negotiated the Framework Agreement for Thiess as part of the Austral Resources debt restructure
- Co-led Noble Group’s Investment in the Middlemount coking coal mine
- Led Noble Group’s investment, development and project management of three Indonesian coal mine JV’s (Wira, Sanga Sanga, Morris) to supply its marketing activities
