Chief Executive Officer

I believe true impact can be achieved in a business when strategy becomes lived behaviour, when inclusion becomes instinct, and when organisations move not just faster, but more wisely. As custodian of this remarkable firm, my goal is to significantly grow our business and continue to shape its future for the better – for both our people and our clients. To accomplish our ambitions we must move at pace and with purpose.

Chief Executive Officer at Grant Thornton Australia
Chief Executive Officer for Asia-Pacific at the Grant Thornton Advisors multinational platform

Said has been a fundamental part of Grant Thornton Australia for over 20 years, and from 2019 was National Managing Partner – Financial Advisory, leading a team of over 200 partners and professional staff across Australia. Now as CEO, Said proudly leads our team across six offices nationally and regularly engages with our clients to deliver the best experience possible.

Additionally, he leads the Grant Thornton Advisors multinational platform in the Asia-Pacific region – steering all regional activity for the platform, which includes almost 20 aligned firms and 25,000 professionals across 20 time zones and five continents. The platform is singularly positioned to support clients through every stage of growth, from early development to global scale. This creates the quality, scope and capabilities clients need to navigate an increasingly complex and rapidly evolving business environment.

Across all his responsibilities, Said stands for a distinctive kind of leadership that sees difference as a source of strength, invites disruption, and measures success not by accumulation, but by the impact made on others. He is committed to activating the potential of our people and supporting talent all the way through the business to maintain positive transformation through shared momentum.

As an advocate of the Grant Thornton brand promise Reach for Remarkable, Said has recently been the executive sponsor of the firm’s Cultural and Ethnic Diversity initiatives and is passionate about continuing to drive the importance of D&I within our organisation. He firmly believes when people are recognised and valued for who they are, not just for what they do, they develop the inner strength and confidence to confront any challenge.
