Bhavesh Narsey appointed to National Head of Not for Profit

Bhavesh Narsey, newly appointed partner in our Sydney office, has recently been appointed the National Head of Not for Profit at Grant Thornton.

With over 12 years’ experience in public practice and a keen interest in social impact and the not for profit sector, Bhavesh brings a passion and deep appreciation for the challenges and issues facing the sector.

In particular, Bhavesh brings a specialist focus on the education, disability services, health and aged care sectors as well as arts and cultural institutions, environmental groups, social enterprises and the broader social impact sector.

“The organisations we work with are navigating changes which will shape their respective sectors for years to come. I am excited to help drive this dialogue with a team of dedicated specialists and a firm committed to a thriving social impact landscape in Australia,” said Bhavesh Narsey.

“Bhavesh has already brought some really great ideas to the table and I think our Not for Profit clients will appreciate his approach. Grant Thornton has an excellent reputation in the Not for Profit sector, a solid client base and is highly regarded in the marketplace. We look forward to Bhavesh taking his energy, enthusiasm and skill to the role in a way that will help us to continue to build our reputation in the area and keep delighting our clients,” said Iain Kemp, National Managing Partner of Industry at Grant Thornton.

Bhavesh is also on the Board of the Grant Thornton Foundation, working with charities and social enterprises to drive Grant Thornton’s charitable initiatives within the community.

Bhavesh takes over from Simon Hancox, Audit partner in our Brisbane office, who held the role for 9 years. In addition to his role as Brisbane Office Chair, Simon will remain a core member of the Not for Profit industry group.
