Grant Thornton announces new National Head of Forensic Consulting, Paul Fontanot
Grant Thornton is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Fontanot as the new National Head of Forensic Consulting, effective from Friday 25 September 2026.
This announcement marks the next phase of growth in the firm’s forensics practice. Paul follows Alex Bell, who led the national growth and development of Grant Thornton’s Forensic Consulting team for the last 5 years.
Paul Fontanot joined Grant Thornton 12 months ago, bringing extensive experience in forensic investigations, dispute resolution, litigation support and risk advisory services. Prior to joining the firm, he led EY's forensic practice and built a significant forensic team at Clayton Utz, leading multidisciplinary teams of accountants, data scientists, mathematicians, IT developers, engineers and lawyers.

Under Paul’s leadership, the forensics group will continue to focus on helping clients navigate increasingly complex commercial and regulatory environments. Alex will continue to strengthen and build his work in litigation and payroll remediation services.
