Leading business and financial advisory firm Grant Thornton Australia announces the appointment of Jason Sorby as Partner – Operational Advisory Leader focussed on the Queensland market, with effect from Monday 2 September 2013.

Jason, formerly a Principal with PwC in Brisbane, has extensive global leadership experience and a supporting network in a range of industry sectors, most recently in the public sector. He has worked to help organisations to improve performance and outcomes in a sector that demands high quality advice and transparency, and this commitment to delivering distinctive client service will be valued by Grant Thornton’s client base. His ongoing engagement in public and private sector reforms will give our clients a further voice to shape their future success.

Jason has supported the following sectors throughout his career - utilities, financial services, education, manufacturing, retail, engineering, transportation, broadcasting, media, communications and construction.

With over 18 years of leadership experience in both professional services and industry, he has a strong track record in developing trusted relationships and exceeding his clients’ expectations. He has overseen major reviews and successful Business, ICT and Outsourcing transformations for complex organisations across all sectors. He has led change programs and reviews for major organisations in the UK, Europe, North America and Australia.
