Grant Thornton is pleased to welcome Douglas Foster as a Partner in its Cyber Resilience team.
Douglas has joined the team as part of Grant Thornton’s continued investment in strengthening the firm’s capabilities across cyber managed services, security operations and incident response.
Based in Sydney, Douglas brings 25 years of experience across cyber operations, advisory, and incident response. Working with Kate Monckton, Partner and National Head of Cyber Resilience, he will play a key role in expanding Grant Thornton’s operational cyber capabilities and the continued growth of the national Cyber Resilience practice.
As cyber threats become more frequent and sophisticated, organisations increasingly need access to specialist capability that can help them continuously monitor and manage cyber risk, identify and respond to threats, and rapidly mobilise when an incident occurs. Douglas’ appointment strengthens Grant Thornton’s ability to support clients across this lifecycle, from cyber preparedness and security operations through to incident response and recovery.
Douglas Foster, Partner, Risk Consulting – Cyber Resilience, said: “It’s an exciting time to be joining Grant Thornton. The team have given me a warm welcome, and I’m looking forward to building the next generation of cyber capability with them and using it to support our clients.
“Cyber resilience depends on seeing threats as they emerge, adapting as organisations and their technology change, withstanding attacks, responding quickly and recovering effectively when an incident occurs. That’s what we’re building here, and it’s how we’ll help clients manage cyber risk day to day.”
Kate Monckton, Partner and National Head of Cyber Resilience, said: “Douglas’ appointment is an important step in the continued growth of our Cyber Resilience practice. Clients are increasingly looking for support that goes beyond traditional cyber assurance and advisory. They need practical, ongoing capability to manage cyber risk, strengthen security operations and respond when incidents occur.
“Douglas brings deep cyber security and cyber defence experience that will help us expand our managed services and incident response capabilities. His experience and leadership complement our existing advisory offering and strengthen our ability to support clients across the full cyber resilience lifecycle.”
