Michael is a Director in Transaction Advisory Services, based in Sydney, with over 13 years of experience in the accounting profession. He is specialised in deal advisory, focusing on financial due diligence. Michael brings a broad and international perspective to his work, having advised clients across diverse markets in Australia, the United States, the UK, as well as in global cross-border transactions spanning Europe, Asia, the Americas, the Middle East, and Africa.
Michael’s career includes seven years at Grant Thornton US in New York, where he gained extensive experience in buy-side, sell-side, and carve-out transactions for private equity, banking, and corporate clients. He is a Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) industry specialist, with a particular focus on advising acquisitive growth companies and private equity funds.
In addition to his work in the US, Michael also spent time at Grant Thornton UK in London, where he provided strategic advisory services to clients across multiple industries involved in M&A transactions across the UK and Europe.
A qualified Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA), Michael completed his accountancy training in the UK. He also holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Leeds, UK.
