Over the September school holidays, Dr Gareth Andrews and Dr Richard Stephenson from The Last Great First will host an exciting webinar for kids 5-12 years old about Antarctica. Before they head off on a 75 day unsupported expedition across the ice, they will cover climate change, polar exploration and, of course, penguins.

Dr Gareth Andrews was born on the Isle of Mull during one of the coldest Scottish Winters on record – a year when the sea outside our home in Bunessan froze solid. His mum jokes that it was a sign of things to come. When he’s not working in the hospital or exploring the arctic regions, he loves to spend my time exploring Sydney’s beaches and bushland with his young family.
