Could this be the last manufacturing grant for the state of Victoria this year?

The Victorian Government is poised to open Round 2 of the Business Competitiveness Program, which targets small and medium sized manufacturers in Victoria.

This funding supports job creation, increased business competitiveness, and supports the strengthening of local manufacturing supply chains.

The program offers grants of up to $500,000 (funding 33 per cent of eligible project expenditure).

If you’re a Victorian manufacturer with plans to invest in capital equipment, and you meet the eligibility criteria below, you may be able to access this funding opportunity.

Eligible entities should demonstrate that they:

Have an operating presence in Victoria;
Are currently engaged in manufacturing or the manufacturing supply chain or demonstrate a genuine commercial connection to the manufacturing supply chain;
Employ at least 20 FTE* (full-time equivalent) staff or have an annual turnover of greater than
$1.5 million; and
Agree to conduct the majority of proposed activities in Victoria.
