PRESS RELEASE

Clients recognise Grant Thornton as Best Provider to Financial and Insurance Services

On Tuesday, 23 March we were recognised as the Best Provider to Financial and Insurance Services in the Beaton Client Choice Awards. This is the first time we have won in this category.

Finalists – and winners – are selected based on feedback and scores gathered from clients. They rate and comment on firms’ brands and performance in delivering services on a range of criteria including quality, value for money, price, and innovation.

We have more than 50 advisors specialising in financial services; working with mid-sized institutions, and a burgeoning neobank and fintech segment to navigate the complex regulatory environment.

“We work in a highly competitive marketplace and we are so pleased that our clients have recognised us in this way. Our aim is to go beyond for our clients; to partner with them and share in their successes,” said Madeleine Mattera, National Head of Financial Services, Grant Thornton.

“The financial and insurances services sector has experienced significant change and upheaval in the last few years – the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry in 2018 kicked off a series of reform initiatives. Then there is Consumer Data Right legislation, natural disasters and hardship, and finally the COVID-induced recession. The sector has been buffeted from all sides and we have been there to support our clients every step of the way,” finished Madeleine Mattera, National Head of Financial Services, Grant Thornton.

Grant Thornton has had strong representation in the Beaton Client Choice Awards over many years. This year we were finalists in three categories including:

  • Best Accounting & Consulting Services Firm (>$200m revenue)
  • Best Accountant – for Darren Scammell, Audit Partner based in Melbourne
  • Best Provider to Financial and Insurance Services

Darren Scammell is an active member of the Financial Services team and his recognition as a finalist is further testament to the strength of our capability and our client relationships in this sector.

In addition, this is the fourth year in a row that Grant Thornton have been nominated as a finalist for Best Accounting & Consulting Services Firm (>$200m revenue). We will continue to innovate and deliver experiences that enhance our client relationships and support business outcomes.
